Each performer is faced with slides filled with bizarre graphs, meaningless acronyms, and unexpected themes. With no time to prepare, they must improvise convincing explanations, facts, stories, and insights on the spot.

A regular improv show, but with a lot more singing!

Using your suggestions as inspiration, our performers will build scenes, create characters, and sing songs completely made up on the spot.

Some songs may be heartfelt, some surprisingly catchy, while some may never find their rhyme, but every one of them will be improvised in the moment.

We’re also going to be playing some classic musical improv games, inspired from Whose Line Is It Anyway?, like the Hoedown, and the Irish Drinking Song.

Make an Improv Song: Musical Improv Jam by Improv Lore

This Musical Improv Jam is a space to ease into singing, rhythm, and making things up with a bit of melody.

We’ll walk through the basics of finding a beat, building simple rhymes, spotting patterns, and shaping a chorus or catchphrase you can come back to. We’ll do just enough to help you feel grounded and willing to try.

Even if you think you can’t sing, come! This session is less about hitting the ‘right’ note and more about jumping in, listening, and letting the music carry you. By the end, you might surprise yourself with what you’re able to create on the spot.
